Explore the generated workbook
BIMRelay turns the model data into COBie worksheets and references. Inspect the rows beside the model, adjust their sources, and fill in information missing from Revit.
The Component sheet lists the generated assets. The model viewer provides context while you review the workbook.

Find what needs attention
Generation runs validation on the workbook. Open a finding to reach the affected data and decide whether to fix a source mapping or enter the missing value.
The Issues panel identifies the worksheet, field, and missing value. Here, required Category values still need attention.

Keep the workbook current
Import newer model versions and your edits carry forward. Compare what changed, resolve remaining findings, and export the delivery workbook.
Version comparison separates added, removed, and changed rows so you can review what changed between deliveries.

AI Review
AI suggests ways to fill the gaps.
After your workbook is generated, AI Review checks which assets and attributes belong, researches identifiable products, and suggests missing classifications. Review the reasoning and sources, then approve the changes you want.

AI Review looks at every Type in the model and points out equipment your asset rules missed, along with brackets, symbols and other modeling helpers that don't belong in an asset register.

- What do I get from my Revit model?
A COBie 2.4 workbook with the included worksheets, asset records, and references generated from your model. Review and edit it in the browser, then export to Excel.
- Do I need Revit or a Revit add-in installed?
No. BIMRelay runs in the browser. Upload a Revit model directly without a Forma account, or connect an authorized Autodesk account to use published models in Forma. You do not need to add COBie parameters to your model; existing COBie parameters can be used when present.
- Does BIMRelay change my Revit model?
No. Workbook edits, source settings, and asset selections stay in BIMRelay. BIMRelay does not add parameters or write changes back to your source Revit model.
- Does BIMRelay work with linked models?
Yes. The host model and the discipline links you choose feed one COBie workbook. BIMRelay supports Revit 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027.
- Can I customize how BIMRelay generates COBie?
Yes. Configure asset scope, property mappings, naming rules, columns, required fields, and export settings within the COBie 2.4 worksheet structure. Existing Autodesk COBie Extension parameters can supply values, but they are optional.
- Does BIMRelay use AI?
Yes. After your workbook is generated, AI Review checks which assets and attributes belong, looks up product details on manufacturer websites, and suggests missing OmniClass or Uniclass classifications. Each suggestion shows its reasoning or source, and nothing changes until you approve it. BIMRelay and its AI providers do not use your project content to train general-purpose AI models.
- What happens to our edits when models change?
Importing a model update creates a new workbook version. Values from the model refresh and your edits carry forward. Earlier versions stay available, and the comparison shows added, removed, and changed rows.
- Are model updates automatic?
For Forma-connected models, you can import newer published versions when you're ready, or turn on automatic model updates.
